I do not think so. It’s a good question, because all evidence points to the fact that this recent episode SHOULD move F$U up in the rankings of ND rivalries, if there is such a thing (Now THAT’S an idea for a future article…)

The BC relationship is a little different because of the Catholic connection, and they way they came into our House and took our pants down after having the #1 on Grace for just a week.

It seems to me all our biggest rivals (Mich, USC, BC, Navy) all have some sort of deeper history beyond the game itself.

Michigan is right up the road and was one of NDs very first opponents in the program’s infacy. And they suck. USC goes all they way back to Rockne and has featured decades of amazing games. And they’re evil. BC we spoke about, and the Middies is the longest intersectional rivalry in the sport. F$U just doesn’t do it for me somehow. I think Stanford is a way bigger deal.
