Winning this game will set up the rest of the season. 12-6 in the conference will earn ND a very high seeding in the tournament, and even 11-7 might get the Irish into the top four in a region given this season’s non-conference success. That kind of a finish isn’t likely to happen without a win tonight.

I see this as a huge game for the Irish with Pitt coming up at Pitt on Monday. They win tonight, and even if they lose @ Pitt they are 5-4 in league through the first half of the schedule. 5-4 in that brutal conference is good anyway, but it would be more impressive when you take into account that through the first half of the conference schedule the Irish will have played all 9 games against teams currently projected to make the NCAA Tournament. We havent played any of the conference bottom feeders yet and therefore the schedule gets much easier in the 2nd half. So I think if they win tonight, that win can springboard the Irish to an 11-7 or 12-6 conference record and maybe a 3 seed in the NCAA Tournament, but like I said Marquette scares me. Go Irish!!!
