Go Irish! I want a no-doubter from the get-go

There is no substitute for live game reps. Hopefully this team, unlike some of the past squads, will not play down to anyone this season. If nothing else this game should be a good indicator. Go Irish!

We need to ramp up our rushing game in a big way. Bryant needs many more touches. he is the most talented back we have had in years. platooning him is a disservice to him

ND needs to really focus on getting the running game going and give Zaire some real playing time.

Has been a sore spot for Kelly his entire tenure. Just before halftime we saw the shotgun misdirection handoff to McDaniel where he shot out of bounds for an 8 yard gain. It’s the play that we used in LA to end the USC streak in 2010 with Robert Hughes. Have rarely seen that kind of creative running attack since. Why? Not to mention taking Tarean Folston out of the 2nd half of the Pitt game last year after he ran wild in the 1st half. Maddening.

Im guessing ND gets off to a sluggish start before they pull away late in the 3rd. ND 33-13

They should get plenty of opportunities as long as Kelly doesn’t abandon the run. This game shouldn’t be close.

Football aside, both schools have shown a deep respect for each other as exemplified by several joint academic research projects. Moreover, a number of Purdue graduates serve on the faculty of the University of Notre Dame and vice-versa for many Notre Dame graduates. The relationship between both universities over the years transcends football. Win or lose,The Fighting Irish and Boilermakers were good for college football.
