Not a problem…the Irish will breeze to 42-3 win, or better. Tommy will surprise a lot of people. No first game miscues or rust…these guys will roll all over Temple. We have incredible talent and Kelly is in his 4th year. The pistol plays will be fun to watch. Sit back and enjoy, ND fans. This one will be a pleasure to watch!

And I think Tommy Rees will do an excellent job this year. He has got tons of playmakers on offense. I think he is much better than people give him credit for. The team likes him, the players trust him, that’s very important. That’s why I think we will win at least 10 games. Anything less than 10 and I will be surprised. I can see another undefeated season its possible. Call me crazy but I believe in our players and have a renewed faith in them to achieve excellence. I’m ready for Notre Dame to be on top again.

If we only beat Temple 28-24 when they have a new coach and new quarterback then we are going to lose at least 6 games this year. I don’t believe that we will have regressed that much from last year to this year. We will be even stronger than last year. I say we beat Temple 69- 6. Has everyone forgotten what Brian Kelly is known for? Offense! This pistol formation is going to light these teams up. Especially teams like Temple. This will be the year when he shows more offensive aggression.

Could it be even remotely possible that Rees’ arm has gotten stronger in the last 2 years? In recent pictures he seems to have lost the zits (love that word) that accompanied him for his first few years, so i predict that with the loss of those unsightly blemishes he has increased arm strength.

As for a connection between the two – the jury is still out.

with Rees as a full time player the Irish will never score more than 35 and against good teams 24 will be hard. the defense will have to really work this year. if the punting team cant pin offenses deep and if we continue to allow teams to start drives with great field position we will be in deep trouble against good teams

Temple has played Penn State many, many times, and though Penn State wins every time many of the games haven’t been decided until the closing minutes. I sure hope the Irish romp in this one, but it makes me nervous when people start saying the game will be a blowout or a “sure win.” Go Irish!

Agree with my fellow South Quad dude manor98. Temple does not get it in the end zone, even on the waterboys. Maybe a FG but that’s it.

28-24, cbc? Really? I hope you feel silly on Saturday night. I realize we have all been wounded over the years, but for God’s sake man…
