I think this team really believes it can beat anybody they face. I don’t think that was the mind set last year. I think they will go into Lane Stadium with a chip on their shoulder and a screw this crowd mindset and crush VT.

I have no intentions of watching this game. I am seriously that skeptical of BK and co. overcoming this staunch tradition of stinking up the field in big-time, prime-time road games against quality opponents. Bar Oklahoma 2012 and a couple of quality W’s in East Lansing, Brian Kelly, no matter his supporting cast, has been absolutely, unforgivably, and categorically GOD AWFUL in this games. I simply care too much about my sanity at this stage to risk watching what I believe will be another dismal performance on the road under the lights. Sorry. Don’t care. Although I no longer think they’ll get boat-raced, I clearly believe an L is in the cards as a clear lack of discipline, poor preparation, and “the moment being too big” scenario is simply inevitable in my mind. Michigan was great. Stanford was even better. Book looks phenomenal, and this might be the only game ND loses as they still potentially orbit play-off possibility territory at the end of the season. DON’T CARE. This is down to Brian Kelly since 2011. And his teams have been so horrendously and predictably bad in these scenarios, an F grade over the years in this department would be way too generous. Not going to risk further heartache and infuriation. Sticking by my original prediction with this game being a big fat terd of a loss. Know my history here…Here’s to my being wrong.

No pounding Metallica ditty turned up to 11 or seismic stampede of gobblers is gonna flap the Book, because Book is unflappable.

That being said…I’m still sitting on the very edge of my La-Z-Boy wondering how the line’s gonna do.
